The Pulpí mine is oneof the most popular tourist destinations in Andalusia,, so tickets for a group must be reserved approx. 1 month in advance.
Itinerary:
A visit to the Pulpín Geode (selenite crystal cave) consists of a 2 hour guided tour. During the first phase of the visit, Learn about the extraction of minerals such as iron and lead, observe the remains of these minerals that are still seen in the access galleries..
Enter the mine, see the Giant Geode which has dimensions of 8 meters in length and 2 meters in height covered by huge plaster crystals that have been formed over the years. Enjoy a walk through history and observe one of the great wonders of nature.
Then off to the beautiful seaside town of Águilas to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and visit its old town and the CIMAR (museum of the sea) if open. Águilas will captivate you with its beaches, history and Mediterranean charm. You don’t need to go far if you wish to wander.

Visit to Murcia

Murcia is an hour away from Torrevieja. this historic city offers a great setting for a visit.
Visit the Sanctuary of Fuensanta, located in the district of Algezares, a few kilometres from Murcia. Immersed in the Regional Park of Carrascoy and the Valley, a protected natural space, the Sanctuary is surrounded by a natural environment of singular beauty.
Then off to Murcia city centre to explore this beautiful city, its magnificent arquitecture and different monuments. Visit the casino and the cathedral, artistically the most important construction in Murcia. Enjoy lunch in the city centre and taste authentic Spanish flavours.
If you want, you can also take a boat along the river Segura and enjoy the views the city has to offer. (not included in the price)
You’ll be back in Torrevieja at around 16:00- 17:00.

Cave of skulls

Itinery: Departure from Torrevieja area at 9:00 a.m. arriving at our destination Benidoleig at about 11:00 a.m.. We visit the Cave of Skulls and explore the surroundings for about 1,5 hours. Then off to the village of Javea for lunch at a local restaurant and to see the beautiful scenery the village has to offer.
Cueva de las Calaveras
Located in the Marina Alta region, Cueva de las Calaveras is more than 900 meters long, and gets its name from the fact that during a cave study in the 1600s, the remains of twelve people were found there. The cave is distinguished by its high ceilings and is divided into a 500-meter-long floodplain and a 400-meter-long dry area that the public can visit.
During the tour, you can see stalactites, stalagmites, beautiful columns over 20 m high, as well as fossils and bone remains.
Cueva de las Calaveras was inhabited by Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens, numerous remains of them can be found along the route. An interesting visit to the cave in a peaceful atmosphere, a fun day out for the whole family!

We move to the starting area. It’s about 30min from Torrevieja. The staff of the company in charge are checking the weather conditions etc. If the conditions don’t make the flight possible, it will be transferred to another suitable date. ATTN! The company won’t return the payment.

Birth of Rio Mundo

Itinerary:
Heading towards Riópar, province of Albacete, admire the wonderful mountain scenery. After a journey of 3 hours visit the birth place of Río Mundo and the waterfall in the Ríopar National Park.
The hike starts after snacks from the parking lot (total journey approx 6,5km) On the trial you will walk among impressive mountains, and one of Spain’s expectacular waterfalls. Spring is specially breathtaking when melted snow flows down the openings of the rockface. Remember to bring your camera! The hike is quite easy, but you should bring good shoes.
On the return journey a stop in village of Riópar or Peñarrubia to eat a 3-course lunch and taste the authentic flavours of Castile-La Mancha, it is also a great chance to buy some local products for home.

La Liga: Elche FC Football season 2022-23

Itinerary: Departure from Torrevieja and its surrounding areas, arriving at Elche FC’s home stadium, Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero, about 1-2h before the start of the game. In top matches, the stadium (capacity approx. 34.000) is usually full and it is good to be there well in advance. It’s about a 45min ride each way. Tickets for the match come through us and seats are not always next to each other, but we always try our best.
Reserve your tickets as soon as possible as football matches are popular and get fully booked quickly. Depending on the demand, travel is either by minibus or couch. Designated pick-up points will be agreed upon.

Palm plantation & Huerto del Cura World Heritage Site in Elche

A 30 min drive from Torrevieja to Elche Natural Park El Fondo. First stop a visit to a palm plantation, to learn about the cultivation of palm trees and dates, from its cultivation to the final product. In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste different varieties of dates and plant new trees. You can even climb a palm tree if you dare to! You can also purchase fresh or dry dates at their shop. The Elche Palm area (El Palmeral de Elche) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest in the world.
Next stop, Elche’s Huerto del Cura garden, a chance to experience this historic and protected palm grove, as well as its art scuptures, springs and plant collections. Enjoy a tapas lunch at a nearby restaurant after the visit.

Visit the well-known Faelo winery in Elche, where you will learn about its history, family traditions and methods of winemarking, including wine tasting and an home made tapas lunch. There are many wines and products available at their shop.
Bodegas Faelo
This family-owned winery has more than 100 years of tradition in winemaking and it is situated in Matola, south of Elche. Before 2000, Bodegas Faelo wine would not bottle in-house, and was only sold in bulk, but Jaime Soto, owner of Bodegas Faelo, along with his father, decided to combine tradition and technological advances in winemaking. As winegrowers, Bodegas Faelo respect the natural environment and traditions, as well as biodynamic and selected viticulture, taking care of their vineyards in a natural way, avoiding pesticides and fungicides as far as possible. This is “Bodegas Faelo Selected Viticulture” philosophy.
The winery is located in a typical country house or “faeneta” with more than 100 years of history. Towards the end of September, the winery celebrates a harvest festival called “Fiesta de La Verema”, where you can, among other things, trample grapes in the traditional way, as the first generation did more than 100 years ago using the same equipment.

Matkaohjelma:
Suuntaamme kohti tunnettua Faelon viinitilaa Elcheen, johon on vajaan 1 tunnin matka Torreviejasta. Vierailuun kuuluu opastettu kierros tilalla sekä viinien maistelut artesaani tapas-annosten kera. Tilan kaupasta voit myös ostaa tuotteita kotiin vietäväksi. Viinitilavierailun jälkeen menemme vielä Huerto del Curaan, suojeltuun palmulehtoon Elchessä.
Bodegas Faelo
Perheomisteisella viinitilalla on yli 100 vuoden perinteet viininvalmistuksessa. Nyt on meneillään neljäs artesaaniviininviljelijöiden sukupolvi Matolassa Elchen eteläpuolella. Vielä vuoteen 2000 asti tilan viiniä ei pullotettu tilalla vaan se myytiin irtotavarana, mutta nykyomistaja Jaime Soto päätti isänsä kanssa yhdistää perinteet ja nykytekniikan viinintuotannossaan. Siitä viinitilan filosofia “Bodegas Faelo Selected Viticulture” sai alkunsa.
Viinitila sijaitsee tyypillisessä maalaistalossa tai “faenetassa”, jolla on yli 100 vuoden historia. Syyskuun alkupuolella tilalla vietetään “Fiesta de La Verema” nimistä juhlapäivää, jolloin voi tallata viinirypäleitä perinteiseen tapaan, kuten ensimmäinen sukupolvi teki yli 100 vuotta sitten.
